CASL Compliance
Last updated: June 10, 2026
Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) governs how businesses send commercial electronic messages such as email and text messages. Waterfront Home Improvements Inc. ("Waterfront", "we", "us") takes that responsibility seriously. This page explains how we comply.
Consent comes first
We send commercial electronic messages only when we have your consent. That consent can be express, for example when you check a consent box on one of our forms or ask us to email you a guide, or implied, for example when you have made an inquiry about a project within the period CASL allows. We do not buy contact lists and we do not send unsolicited bulk email.
Every message identifies us
Every commercial email we send identifies Waterfront Home Improvements Inc., Etobicoke, Ontario, as the sender and includes current contact information so you can reach us directly with any question about the message.
Unsubscribing is simple and honoured
Every commercial email includes a working unsubscribe mechanism. If you use it, or if you tell us by any other means that you no longer want to hear from us, we stop sending you commercial messages promptly and within the timeline CASL requires. Messages that are purely transactional, such as replying to a question you asked or coordinating an active project, are not affected by an unsubscribe.
Questions or concerns
If you believe you have received a message from us that does not meet these standards, or you have any question about your consent status, contact us at [email protected] or call (416) 571-7241 and we will look into it right away. See also our Privacy Notice for how we handle the personal information you share with us.
